Privacy notice
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Spanish version (Aviso de privacidad) is the official one; if there is any difference between the two, the Spanish version governs.
1. Who is responsible
Jonathan Schatz Harris (KapiMoni), with address at Av. Nuevo León 108, Col. Condesa, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06100, Mexico City, Mexico (“KapiMoni”), is responsible for the processing of your personal data, under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, the “Law”). You can contact us at hola@kapimoni.com.
2. What data we collect
At this stage, only through the waitlist, we collect the following from the parent or guardian:
- Email address.
- Country of residence.
- Number of children who would play (just the number, with no other information about them).
- Whether or not you want to receive Kapi Alerts.
We do not collect data from children or teenagers. We do not ask for their name, age, school, photo or any other information. We also do not collect sensitive personal data or financial data.
When the game opens, the account will belong to the adult. Children will play with a nickname and a PIN; we will publish an updated notice before collecting any additional data.
3. What we use your data for
Necessary purposes:
- Adding you to the waitlist and letting you know when the game opens.
- Answering your questions and requests, and handling the exercise of your rights.
Additional purposes (you can say no at any time without affecting your sign-up):
- Sending you notices about new episodes, books and Kapi News.
- Sending you Kapi Alerts, only if you turned them on.
- Understanding, in aggregate, how many families are interested and from which countries, to improve KapiMoni.
If you do not want us to use your data for the additional purposes, write to us at hola@kapimoni.com.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your data. To run the website we use providers that process the data on our behalf and under our instructions, such as the web hosting service (Vercel) and the database (Supabase), which may be located outside Mexico. We do not make any transfers that require your consent.
5. Your ARCO rights and how to withdraw your consent
You can access your data, correct it, cancel it or object to its use (ARCO rights), as well as withdraw your consent or ask to be removed from the list. To do so, send an email to hola@kapimoni.com with your name, the registered email, a clear description of your request and, where applicable, a document proving your identity. We will reply within a maximum of 20 business days and, if your request is granted, we will carry it out within the following 15 business days.
If you believe your right to data protection has been violated, you may go to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno (Mexico's Anti-Corruption and Good Governance Ministry), the authority on this matter.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It may only use the technical cookies that are essential for it to work, such as the one that remembers the language you chose.
7. Retention and security
We keep your data for as long as the waitlist exists or until you ask to be removed. We apply administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect it; access to the database is restricted.
8. Changes to this notice
Any change to this notice will be published on this same page, showing the date it was updated.
