Accenture
Helps companies and governments use technology to work better.
📖 Its story
Many years ago, the accounting firm Arthur Andersen started helping its clients with computers. That team grew so much that in 1989 it became a separate company called Andersen Consulting. In 2001 it changed its name to Accenture.
💵 How it makes money
It charges companies and governments for consulting, programs, technology and services that help them improve.
🤯 Fun fact
The name Accenture comes from 'Accent on the future,' and it was suggested by one of the company's employees.
👍 The good part
It works with lots of big companies around the world, so it doesn't depend on just one customer.
⚠️ The risk
If companies cut costs, they hire fewer consultants, and artificial intelligence is changing its business.
